The museum documents the military actions in the area, from the Napoleonic campaigns to the Second World War. The museum is laid out to present the territory in which the events have taken place in geographical and topographical terms. From the room dedicated to the Napoleonic campaigns in Upper Friuli, in Valcanale, the upper Isonzo (Socˇa) and Carinthia, visitors then move to the First World War room showing photographs, maps, uniforms and weapons from the battles of Monte Nero (Krn, now in Slovenia) to the south, Due Pizzi and Jof di Miezegnot near Tarvisio. The exhibits visible in the room dedicated to the Second World War document the events between 1920 and the allied occupation of 1945.
